The National Start-up Program has been implemented by the Business Forum Newspaper for the past 18 years under the direction of the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI) to create opportunities for young people and students nationwide to create practical start-up projects, upholding the entrepreneur's spirit among young people , students, promoting the role of enterprises and entrepreneurs in the cause of economic development of the country.
In 2020, due to Covid-19's influence, the National Startup Program established and launched the National Innovation Advisory Council and successfully organized the ASEAN Startup Forum in both direct and online form.
This year, nearly 600 projects submitted to more than 40 universities from 30 provinces and cities participated in the contest. The organizers have selected 10 projects with the best feasibility to offer investment, groups of students will have time to present the project and investors appraise the project. Investors and businesses will have the opportunity to learn more about projects and make investment decisions.
In the end, the Pando team won the third prize with the project "building materials made from plastic waste". The first prize belongs to the project "Application of Spirulina algae to increase shrimp efficiency and improve the environment", a group of students from Nguyen Dinh Thanh University. The second prize belongs to the project "C-NATO Stroke Support Marshmallows" (Thu Dau One University) and the project "Production and trade of CCF Coconut Wood" (Forestry University). The remaining two third prizes went to the projects: Smart Bed (Duy Tan University); Video maker and user comprehensive connection platform (Banking Academy)
Before the National Startup Contest in 2020, Pando group won the prizes: first prize in the contest "green pay for the sea", first prize in Vietnam table contest "Best startup student project", third prize in the contest "startup students 2020".
