In the afternoon of December 22nd, 2020 the Ministry of Education and Training organized the awarding of student contest with the idea of starting a business (SV- STARTUP) 2020.
Pando team participated in the contest with the project of producing bricks and tiles from plastic waste. Pando tiles are made of plastic and sand materials, which have characteristics such as good waterproofing of water, steam, O2, CO2, N2 and grease. The tiles can withstand high temperatures (below 230°C) for short periods of time; fire-resistant air suction; strong impacts especially hail. The product has a higher impact strength than normal products up to 16 times, does not crack under the effects of tropical rain, thus avoiding mold moss during use. The weight is also 50% lighter than existing tiles on the market.
