Department of Mechanics was established right from the early days of the University inception in 1976. This is a core Department in training fundamental and specialized knowledge for civil engineering and engineering mechanics in general. Currently, Department of Mechanics has a strong force of lecturers and researchers. Our training program covers from under-graduate to graduate level. We also have PhD program on Engineering mechanics for graduate students. In recent years, besides training activities we have also focused on scientific research and technology transfer such as chairing many scientific research projects, publishing many scientific articles at national and international journals, guiding students in doing scientific research. The Department has a modern mechanical laboratory served for teaching, research activities and technology transfer.
