GEODESIC PRACTICE ROOM
Mission
Geodesy, also known as geodesy:
is the science of measuring and processing topographical and geologic data located on the Earth's surface. Geodesy is the measurement of position coordinates (longitude, latitude, altitude), shape, size, direction of terrestrial terrain, and features located on the ground.
Geodetic practice room under the Department of Construction and Construction Management: was established by the school's decision in January 2012 under the Department of Construction and Construction Management. The Department provides professional training in Geodetic and Geodetic Internship for students of Faculty of Civil Engineering and Applied Mechanics, Faculty of High-Quality Training, and students of affiliated universities inside and outside Ho Chi Minh City.
Geodetic practice room functions:
Through Geodetic Internship: students can practice basic surveying and layout operations using a theodolite and hydroplaning machines, including:
Familiarity with optical theodolite;
Measure angle by the arc and complete circle method;
Measure vertical angle with theodolite;
Measure length directly with a tape measure and indirectly measure the length with a theodolite and staff;
Trigonometric altimeter;
Instructions for using the Automatic level surveying;
Measure the height difference from the middle with Automatic level surveying;
Grid passing coordinates and elevation
Knowledge of maps
Project layout
Construction deformation monitoring
Subsidence monitoring
Oriented development
Improve practical skills for students, meet practical needs, invest in technology-oriented equipment.
Develop detailed teaching content into several subjects such as Geodetic engineering (bridge, road, civil, industrial, irrigation...); Monitoring settlement, moving works… Equip students with in-depth knowledge about GPS global positioning systems and skills in using GPS machines for surveying work in construction.
Practice equipment
In recent years, to meet the training needs and modernize the equipment to suit the actual production, the Geodetic Practice Room is equipped with machinery and equipment for learning, including optical theodolite, hydrometer, total electronic station, and accompanying tools such as tripod, staff, steel ruler, tape measure, pole...
